Party Trivia
Party Trivia is a Kahoot-style game for a room of people. One screen (a laptop or TV) shows the questions and the leaderboard; everyone else plays on their own phone browser. Nothing to install.
Hosting
- Open NakCube on the shared screen and choose Host trivia night.
- Name your lobby, pick the number of questions and the round types you want, and optionally set a 4-digit PIN to keep strangers out. Without a PIN, your lobby appears in the public list of open games.
- Players join from the list on their phones, by tapping a link like
nakcube.com/join/XY4W, or by typing the room code. - Press start when everyone is in.
Playing
Each question appears on the shared screen with its options, and the same options appear on your phone. Tap your answer before the clock runs out. Depending on the speed setting, a quicker right answer can score more. After each question the answer is revealed and the leaderboard shows the standings.
Round types
- Trivia: pick the right answer, including true/false, Two Truths and Odd One Out.
- More or Less: compare two real photographed items.
- Photo Zoom-In: a photo un-zooms while the timer runs.
- Lightning round: a themed burst of fast questions.
- Optional modes such as Crowd Call, Bluff, Wits & Wagers, Pointless and Dis or Dat can be switched on in the lobby.
At the end, a podium counts down the top three and the game shows the questions the room found hardest.
