What we store on your device

NakCube keeps game data in your browser's local storage: your remembered name and avatar, scores, streaks, best times, game settings, saved games in progress, and cosmetic choices. Some of it is kept for the session only, such as a token that lets you rejoin a game after a refresh. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings.

What our server receives

To run games the server receives the name and avatar you pick and your answers while a game is in progress. Daily results, boards and the anonymous statistics that tell us whether a question is fair (how many players answered it and how many got it right) are stored on our server. Game rooms are discarded when a game ends. Routine server logs include your IP address, used for abuse protection and rate limiting; we do not sell it.

Sign-in

Signing in is optional and uses Discord. We receive your Discord user id and display name and use them to hold your profile, cosmetics, friends and board entries. We never receive your Discord password. You can sign out everywhere from your profile.

Reminders

If you opt in to daily reminders, your browser's push subscription, your chosen hour and your time zone are stored so we can send a notification. You can turn this off at any time.

Advertising and cookies

NakCube may show ads served by Google. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads where permitted. You can manage your choices at Google Ads Settings and learn more in Google's advertising policy. The content pages on this site (how-to-play, about, archive, policies) do not carry ads.

Children

NakCube is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
